Some of us
Would rather not
See ourselves in the mirror
Some of us
Would rather blot
Out what we see as terror

And so we take
A little bit
Of what we see as good
And then we make
Ourselves a kit
And cover what we could

And with this thing
That we've created
From our self-loathing task
We steadfastly cling
To all we've related
